Club for all course
This workshop outlines how your club can reach all sections of the community, including young people, older people, those on low incomes, disabled people and people from ethnic minorities.
- A wider membership base – meaning more players, coaches, officials and increased revenue
- Improved eligibility for Lottery funding.
- The involvement and support of the local community.
A Club For All is designed to be attended by volunteers in a club, (possibly a club member, member of the committee or the volunteer co-ordinator). The tutor will use club management and administration examples to help the volunteer/club member understand the benefits of opening up their club to the wider community and being equitable in their membership and club practices. The workshop will assist them in producing a basic action plan for their club, with a view to its future sustainability.
At the end of this workshop you will be able to:
- Assess how open your club is to members at the moment
- Decide what else you could do to make your club more accessible to more people.
This workshop is part of the essential criteria for gaining Trafford mark Accreditation.
